Financial Accountant

You are someone who enjoys delivering robust and accurate financial accounts and financial controls and has experience gained within a local authority setting.

What you’ll be doing:
As a Financial Accountant, you will lead on the delivery of all financial and technical accounting work and take ownership for the production of the annual statutory accounts and always ensure that all processes and controls are adhered to.

What you’ll need to offer:
As an experienced finance professional, you’ll have honed your experience across technical financial accounting. This organisation are a flexible employer, but this is a specialist role so these are the two essential criteria for this role below:

1. You will be a fully qualified accountant with any of the following qualifications or equivalent – CIMA, CIPFA, ACCA, or ACA (ICAEW, ICAS, ICAI).
2. You’ll have a track record of financial accounting gained within a local authority / local government setting (at a push we could consider Police or fire service, or Central Government if you are also CIPFA qualified)
