Broster Buchanan were recently instrumental in supporting a global healthcare leader in implementing D365.
The first wave the project was already 1 year in, struggling to find the appropriate personal, and significantly behind schedule when they sought our help. The client was lacking D365 implementation expertise and their SI wasn’t delivering what was required, which was only compounding the issue further. They had been working with another agency who had failed to deliver the candidates they needed to turn the project around and help reach their project deadlines.
Over the course of 4 months we sourced and placed 13 D365 experts at critical parts of the project. Most placements were on permanent contracts, with some contractors, helping to build a centre of excellence in Barcelona with test leads, project managers, solution and enterprise architects.
D365 is a very small but highly competitive market in Spain which required an extensive headhunting process by our own team of recruitment experts.
Our expertise and understanding of the D365 market allowed them to properly manage their programme and their SI partner, reigning in the cost of the project by reducing the timelines for the programme. The Barcelona centre of excellence became a key part of the project’s success, giving them the in-house expertise to manage the programme, architect and implement the D365 solution.
12 months later they had another critical batch of hiring. Again, working to tight deadlines, we sourced and placed nine further D365 experts – mostly permanent with some contractors. All this was achieved within only six short weeks, as the project urgently needed more D365 expertise. This time, the focus was on Process Leads, Functional Leads, Test Leads and a Security Lead, and we were more than happy and able to find the required talent in this branch of the market, too. This helped stabilise the project once more and addressed the areas of the business that needed urgent attention, mainly bolstering the centre of excellence and the in-house D365 expertise, whilst reigning in further spiralling costs and reliance on the SI’s project consultants.
