Broster Buchanan supported a global healthcare client in securing urgent senior transformation hires across the UK, Spain and Portugal, bringing in high calibre D365 and programme leadership to stabilise delivery and get critical projects back on track.
Broster Buchanan was engaged to support a global healthcare client in building internal transformation capability across the UK, Spain and Portugal. A key priority was strengthening their Microsoft Dynamics 365 capability to reduce reliance on their implementation partner, Deloitte.
While the organisation has strong brand recognition in Spain and Portugal, the market for senior D365 professionals in both regions is highly niche and extremely competitive. The most relevant candidates were already embedded in major programmes and frequently approached, making engagement particularly challenging.
These hires were business critical. The programme was already behind schedule and exceeding budget, creating an urgent need to secure experienced transformation leaders who could stabilise delivery and drive progress.
We began with detailed market mapping across Spain and Portugal, identifying organisations where the most relevant D365 and transformation professionals were operating.
Working closely with the leadership and HR teams, we refined the value proposition to position the opportunity in a way that would resonate with senior professionals working within complex transformation environments.
A targeted headhunting strategy was then executed, delivering tailored, insight led approaches that clearly communicated the scale, impact and strategic importance of the programme.
Alongside this, we leveraged our network to generate referrals and recommendations, extending our reach beyond active job seekers. This enabled us to engage high calibre individuals who would not typically be accessible through traditional recruitment methods.
Over a 2.5 year period, Broster Buchanan delivered more than 30 hires across both permanent and interim appointments.
Key placements included D365 Functional Leads, Process Leads, Programme Managers and a Solution Architect, alongside broader transformation leadership hires such as Transformation Leads, Delivery Leads and a Head of Cloud Transformation beyond the D365 programme.
These hires played a pivotal role in stabilising programme delivery and controlling costs, ultimately helping bring the D365 transformation back on track. More widely, they strengthened internal capability, enabling the business to drive forward further transformation initiatives with greater confidence and control.
