Permanent / Full Time
Would you use your accounting skills to work in a beautiful location and make a difference to the future workforce of tomorrow?
Would you like to prepare for your retirement with a local government pension?
Would you like hybrid working (3 days onsite) and free parking onsite?
Would you like 39 days annual leave (including bank holidays)?
If you are nodding along to these questions then I’ll tell you a bit more about what you’ll be doing and if you think that sounds like you, then please drop an application through or get in touch with me directly.
What you’ll be doing…
There is of course a detailed job description that I can share with you, but in brief you’ll be working closely with finance colleagues who are warm, engaging and fun to work with to produce management accounts with useful analysis to share with non finance stakeholders so that they understand how their area is performing (or not!) – the business partnering bit of the role which will mean you’re not stuck behind a screen every day and get to enjoy interacting with a wide range of different people in an interesting work location.
There will be some forecasting, budgeting, a few VAT returns and all the aspects you’d expect within a Management Accountant role within a medium sized finance team which is small enough to see the output of your efforts in a meaningful way, but large enough to provide you with peers and colleagues to learn and get support from.
What you’ll need to offer…
I’ll keep this quite simple, ideally I’d would like to be providing candidates to this great organisation who are fully qualified accountants motivated by more than just the salary they earn each month, but there is some flexibility to consider part qualified or qualified by experience candidates as long as you have experience of producing management accounts.
The role is based in an accessible location on the borders of West and North Yorkshire (you can get the train or drive and park) so you’ll likely live somewhere in North/West Yorkshire – if you don’t currently live within the area, please can you indicate your plans on relocation as this won’t be suitable for remote working, especially as one of the added benefits of the role is the fact you get to work on a beautiful location and collaborate in person with some great people.
You’ll also need full right to work in the UK.
What you’ll receive in return…
As mentioned above the key benefits include
