From college, I had an appetite to get out into the world immediately and start making my own money. I went to work for an accident management organisation. I stayed and progressed there for 7 years, and then I decided to utilise my skill set within a different industry. My skill set and passion for working with people aligned perfectly with recruitment, and I thought it would be a good challenge. Two years later, I’m still working in recruitment and loving it. I work on the Risk Assurance team at Broster Buchanan, supporting a wide range of roles across Risk, Audit and Cyber Security. I specialise in the temp market, supporting our clients in aligning high-caliber talent with temporary roles across a breadth of organisations.
I come from a hard-working family and had a strong work ethic instilled in me at a young age by my parents. I am constantly driven to provide for my family and be the best I can be for them. I pride myself on working hard, and in this role, I have the pleasure of supporting others in achieving their career goals too.
Honesty and transparency are the most important factors for me. I also want to work for people who drive me and push me out of my comfort zone. I’m lucky to have a line manager who keeps me motivated and drives me to develop. Thanks to the leaders here at BB my skillset has progressed massively over the last couple of years.
Quite simply supportive, honest, and fun. I’m lucky to be surrounded by good, positive people with loads of industry experience for me to learn from. It really is a win-win situation for me.
I’m married, and we have a daughter, Emma, who is 5 years old, and a stepson, Harry, who is 17. It’s fair to say I’m kept on my toes at home! I live in Altrincham, which is very lucky to be within walking distance of our BB office. I love attending music festivals and am excited to go to Glastonbury this summer for the second time. My favourite way to spend weekends is as a family, whether that’s in the park, at the cinema, or eating out. As long as we are together, I’m happy.
