What you’ll be doing…
Here is an opportunity to use your financial accounting skills, working for a environmental charity to deliver an efficient and effective financial management and accounting service to charity colleagues, through the adoption of a business partnering approach. You’ll work in close collaboration with the other finance manager and take a lead in delivering key elements of this service whilst working closely together to ensure that the overall service is maintained, including during periods of leave.
You will lead the team of Finance Assistants to ensure that transactions are accurately and efficiently processed in accordance with internal policies and procedures. The role will be responsible for all aspects of financial management including budget setting and timely management accounts reporting.
What you’ll need to offer…
You will need to be passionate about what this environmental charity does and be interested in the work they carry out in the community. Good communication skills are key in building effective relationships with budget holders and relaying information to non-finance teams.
You will be either part qualified, qualified by experience but strong practical financial accounting experience is key to be able to hit the ground running. A qualification or part in ACA / CIMA / ACCA / CIPFA or similar, would be a huge bonus. Similarly charity sector experience is not an essential but would be advantageous.
