      Broster Buchanan are hiring for a Group Tax Accountant for well-known international brand.
       
      This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, with some potential of going permanent or being extended at the end of the 12 months.
       
      The position comes with a salary of circa £50k-£65k plus benefits package and is based in their Hertfordshire office, but supporting up to 3 days per week remote working.
       
      The Position
       
      Supporting the Head of Tax and Group Tax Manager, the Group Tax Accountant will be responsible for a varied tax role looking after both direct taxes and indirect taxes.
       
      In addition to the compliance/reporting, this person will get involved in business partnering and dealing with tax queries from the business, and the role holder will work on a range of tax and finance projects.
       
      Responsibilities include:

      • Preparation and filing of corporation tax computations for UK and European entities
      • Preparation and filing of UK and European VAT returns
      • Support on employee taxes compliance
      • Support Head of Tax on tax strategy work / tax planning
      • Respond to tax queries from the business; Provide timely and accurate tax advice
      • Co-ordinate with external tax advisors on international tax queries
      • Ongoing tax process improvement work
      • Support with ad-hoc tax projects

       
      The company are looking for someone with EITHER direct tax / corporate tax experience OR indirect tax / VAT experience – This is because they are happy to provide training on either area if required.
