The Broster Buchanan Team were tasked with supporting National Grid to build out their internal Salesforce team following a large-scale implementation of Salesforce Multiple Business units implementing the following products: Sales, Service Cloud (FSL), Marketing, Experience Clouds and CPQ.
After an initial briefing and workshop to define the hiring needs, we agreed on a hiringstrategy to hire – Head of Salesforce and Business Application Engineering, Architect x2, Salesforce Engineer x1, Functional Consultant x2, Salesforce Admin x2.
The Solution
Broster Buchanan focused on building a target universe within 100km of head office with enterprise and if possible, utilities experience, using our extensive database and network, subsiding this with our research team reaching out to additional candidates.
Due to the limited target universe and concertation of competitors in the area, Broster Buchanan helped streamline the interview process into a 2 week/2 stage framework – helping to outpace competitors’ interview and offer processes
The Outcome
Utilising our top-down hiring strategy, we successfully placed The Head of Salesforce and then 5 other placements, all over a 6-month period
An added benefit was the last two administrator roles were then able to be filled using the network we had built with the team hires and came on board directly, helping to reduce the hiring budget and kickstart team building with previous colleagues’ relationships
