When I set up Broster Buchanan I was passionate that we would create a consultancy based on experience, relationships, delivery and quality. With a career spanning 20 years in global recruitment companies, I was increasingly frustrated by how some of the sector was becoming more transactional in its nature. People are the most important asset of any organisation and the identification and attraction of the right talent is critical to any business’s success. Experience is key in this to ensure that there is a real value added to the identification of people and to individual’s careers.

Over 16 years in the recruitment and talent industry, a previous UK number 1 performer with a successful history of managing and developing top-performing businesses and people. Janine’s passion is people; she understands that they are the success drivers of any business and should be our number 1 investment at Broster Buchanan.
Janine is fundamental to the Broster Buchanan growth and strategy plans; further investing & developing our employees, securing new talent, creating a first-class training & development programme for future business leaders as well as the top talent within our successful business, expanding the core of our existing locations & sectors, identifying new market opportunities, and diversifying our offering to suit our client needs and market trends.
Janine’s vision for BB is to further develop our people first culture, to offer a genuinely great place to work for all, where transparency and collaboration are key, and to collectively strengthen BB’s presence across the UK and beyond, not just as a recruiter but also as an employer of choice.
Having joined recruitment as a trainee just as the financial crash of 2008 took hold and the markets halted, through sheer hard work and determination, she managed to build a UK number 1 desk within a global FTSE-listed recruitment company within 18 months.

Kevin has a career spanning 24 years in event management and then moving into the recruitment sector for the past 15+ years. Kevin is also currently Chair of APSCo (Midlands), developing the Forum and ensuring key issues affecting our members are discussed in order to bring maximum value to recruitment businesses.
Career Highlight:
Kevin’s career highlight would have to be the journey that Broster Buchanan is currently on. Setting up 8 years ago working from home, cafes and hotel lobbies to the business it is today, it is really still at the start of its journey to what it will become over the years to come, which is really exciting.
Interesting Fact:
Out of work, Kevin’s time is mostly spent with the family, his wife and himself running around after 2 young boys and a dog! He also gets to the gym as much as possible and gets a few rounds of golf in where he can (more of a summer golfer!). He also loves a good Sunday Roast with a glass of red in a nice country pub in and around the Cotswolds and a summer festival with friends and family!
